Our Mission

We are an autonomous institution that provides professional services in prevention, emergency response, firefighting, and disaster management throughout the national territory. We act in a technical manner, in coordination with national and international institutions, contributing to risk reduction and the overall well-being of Guatemalan society, ensuring the protection of life, property, and the environment, with discipline, honor, and selflessness.

Volunteer Firefighter Creed

I believe in the high dimension of the trilogy; Discipline-Honor-Selflessness, as fundamental norms of my conduct inside and outside the exercise of my profession.

I believe in the oath that obliges me to serve selflessly and in the sacred name of Volunteer Firefighter that I bear.

I believe in fulfilling my duty as the supreme good of my actions, framed within the beautiful trilogy that is my shield, my north and my torch.

I believe in the simplicity of my work and in the greatness of the spiritual satisfaction it brings me.

I believe in the capacity to love with nobility, a primary attribute that emerges in my physical and spiritual dedication in defense of my fellow human beings.

I believe in God as the supreme force that encourages me, when the spiritual peace, physical protection and even the life of those who come to me depend on my actions.
